THE STORY OF SACK HANDCRAFTED KNIVES

Hello. My name is Walter Sack. I am a husband, father, grandfather, veteran and the owner/maker at Sack Handcrafted Knives.

My passion for knives began at a young age. One of my first knife memories was receiving a pocket knife of my grandfather’s after he had passed. The blades were razor sharp and almost black as night from years of use. Holding that knife as a young man made me feel close to him and invincible. This is a memory and feeling I will never forget. 

I believe knives can be best described as primal necessities that have the ability to create links and meaning to and in the past, present, and future. 

I have been making knives since 2017. I am a member of the Texas Knifemakers Guild and the American Bladesmith Society.
